Let's not forget about Abby

I know most of my last posts have been about Stephen, no fear - Abby is still here! The thing about Abby is she's kinda quite (compared to Stephen...and me). Since the birth of Abby I've learned you should be more aware of the quite ones - Like the other night, dinner was over; I took Abby out of her high chair - started cleaning up in the kitchen; but things were a bit to quite for me. I headed into the other room and sure enough there she was
What was she doing? She had climbed up into Stephen's chair and decided that she liked his dinner better
So lesson for the day - quite is not always better!!!

Growing up

Stephen is growing up way to fast! Every time I turn around I feel like he is hitting a new "big boy" milestone, or just acting and talking like a big boy
One milestone that he has refused to accomplish is the dreaded potty training, we've been trying and trying - usually in starts and ends with him screaming, hitting, screaming, and all that fun. He just does not want to sit down on that potty!
Then our dear friend's came and stayed a few nights - Layla used Stephen's potty, then Stephen used Stephen's potty. Then we headed to MS for a few days and spent 90% of our time outside
Again, we had a screaming match with the potty - then i realized that Stephen is so active that he didn't want to potty and miss out on fun. So since we were in a big private yard I let him tee tee in the yard.......
Score! That did it, he started tee teeing in the yard, then the potty, and now we've been accident free for two days!!! And we haven't tee teeed in a yard since Thursday :) We'll see how today turns out!

What a moment

I love dreaming about a yard - I can dream about a yard, b/c the one we are going to buy happens to be the exact same one that Alan grew up in
The exact same yard that he most likely did this in also! :)
I love that I saw Stephen squarting himself in the face, and after realizing what it would do - he still did it again b/c I wanted to take a picture of it :)

A little fun in the bay!

Just for fun, I wanted to post a video of Stephen running into the bay - what I am so upset about is that I didn't get a video of him (or picture) of him jumping off the peir! He is truly growing up way to fast!

What a weekend!

(Warning, I'm tired, and it has taken way to long to post these pictures, so my words; well they're just not there tonight!) There are very few words that can describe this weekend - fun, relaxing, friends, family, kids sleeping well... ok maybe not so few This weekend we had Stephen's 3rd birthday party (he doesn't turn 3 until Tuesday the 18th, so this was really his "due date" party)
And since our house is on the market, we didn't want to risk having a party at our house and then someone wanting to show it - or at least that was the excuse I used when bribing Alan that we had to go to Kangarooz for Stephen's party
So we headed over to a local jumpy thingy place and well, I mean really, can you go wrong with a party like that? Add in grandparent's to the mix oh don't forget pizza, cake and ice cream
you just can't beat it, really you can't - I promise you! Add in smiles like this from the birthday boy and your heart might melt
Now if you headed down to the bay for an evening swim, well that might just add to the fun
Maybe throw in our awesome buddies from Georgia
Ok, so we had a fun time, we had a great time! Thank you to all our friends and family who joined us, you made Stephen's weekend and mine! God Bless you all!!

I knew this day would happen......

No, sorry don't get to excited - we did not sell our house yet. But from the day we bought our house, I knew if we were given the amazing gift of children then one day, I would find them climbing up these shelves
But I honestly did not realize that it would take almost three years....
Unfortunately Abby was watching the entire thing, and well she is a big time climber - so maybe we should get moving soon :)

Stephen loves his daddy!

I don't know many little boys that don't want to be like their daddy - so this should come as no surprise to you Stephen wants to be like his daddy!! Especially when he's playing baseball
He did get a little sad that daddy couldn't play with him, but he got over it - and into the game
Abby, well, she enjoyed herself - but loved snack time - a girl after my own heart!

Summer is so much fun!

Ice cream cones - need I say more?? :) It's moments like these that make me want to be a child again
Hot days, cold ice cream
messy faces :) I love the summer time!
